I didn’t spend much time coloring as a kid.
I was more into drawing even though I was terrible at it. But coloring never did much for me. It still doesn’t. Now, my wife is a different story. She loves to color. She can sit in our big, comfy chair with her mandala coloring book and a handful of markers and work at it for hours. I said work, but it’s not anything like work for her. It relaxes her and lets her decompress after a long day.
Coloring is a lot like meditation. It allows you to switch off your brain so you can focus only on the moment and the picture that’s in front of you. Plus, you can be as neat or messy as you want to be because it’s about doing what you want to do.
Until next time, may the Force be with you.
