I feel the same way about outdated copy. When you start reading and there are references to pop culture events that happened years ago, you know the copy isn’t fresh. It’s old. Which means that the business isn’t taking the time to keep up with their marketing.
But when you come copy across that’s evergreen – ageless copy that’s relevant no matter how long ago it was written – that’s when you know this business cared enough to create messaging that would resonate over the long run. And if they care that much about their marketing, they’re going to care that much about offering you a superior product.
