What do you do if your copy is good, but the client doesn’t like it?
For me, I understand that I’m providing a service, one that the client is paying for. That means I should be giving them what they want.
However, I also know that my job is to give them copy that accomplishes the goal they established, which might require me to counsel them on the copywriting and marketing decisions I’ve made
So I have two choices here. I can bob my head and give them a lesser service or I can do my job and explain to them why I provided the copy I delivered.
If they still don’t agree, then I have no problem doing it their way. But I’ll always do my job and give them what they’ve paid for – quality copywriting to speaks directly to their audience, addresses the pain points and offers solutions.
Until next time, may the Force be with you.
