Have You Filed Your Taxes?

Did you know that you can claim cat food as a business expense if you can prove that the cat you’re feeding helps your business in some tangible way? For example, if the cat is keeping your customer safe by ridding your property of mice and snakes, the cost of the cat chow is tax-deductible.

As a small business owner, I have to be aware of my budget and spend my money wisely. Spend too much on things I don’t need and I could find myself in the red. However, I found one of the smartest things I could ever do was hire a Tax Advisor.

They help break down everything I can claim as a business expense and counsel me on ways I can lower my taxes. They even helped me understand that the toys I purchase – which I use to promote my CopyGeek brand – are tax-deductible.

So if you think you’re paying too much in taxes, hire a tax advisor to help sort things out. And the best part? Hiring them is tax-deductible, too.

Note: I’m not a tax person, so please hire a real tax person for tax advice or tax services.

Until next time, may the Force be with you…
